The Goal of life is to realize god.

If we take out the objective then naturally everything else also becomes aimless. If you put in the objective, Prabhupad says you put so many zeroes without one it remains zero. If you put one in the front then everything becomes valuable. What is that one? One is the goal of life you should understand the goal. Goal of life is to realize god.

Ekadeshi -The Auspicious Day for advancement

Ekadasi is supposed to be a very auspicous day for spiritual advancement. And Srila Prabhupada emphasized not so much work, he didn’t mean, we wouldn’t do… he emphasized on reading, extra chanting, preaching.

Ekadasi is an oppurtunity to make advancement in devotional service. So we look forward to every opportunity

Being initiated

“Being initiated, Prabhupada said, is a glorious thing. It means one is going back to Godhead in this lifetime. Of course, they have to follow the vows that they have taken and at the same time it means they are being accepted by the disciplic succession. The guru is acting as an agent. So that is the responsibility also to see that the parampara is carried forward. Just as we read today in the Bhagavatam how the Manus are protecting the world, Prabhupada wanted that the ISKCON movement would be known as the savior of the world.”

Austerity is the key factor for self realization

Fasting, or doing an Ekādaśī, or Janmāṣṭamī, or for Kṛṣṇa’s pleasure, under bona fide guidance of a spiritual master, this can be accepted as a means of learning to control the mind and senses, so austerity is something very productive.

If we don’t practice austerity than the mind becomes sometimes too powerful. It tends to drag us away. When the mind says do this, or do that, we don’t have the willpower to resist. But a little austerity gives us more capacity to control the mind, which gives the mind more capacity to control the senses. So this austerity is actually important for self realization.

My humble request to all my disciples

I am a humble representative of His Divine Grace Abhay Charan Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. And he is a representative of His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami Prabhupad.

And he said that we, as the spiritual grandchildren of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada, that the grandfather gives sweets to the grandchildren, but the parents have to discipline their children.

So like that, he was saying that we get some special favor from the grandfather. So you as the grand children of A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad, you will get lots of sweets and mercy! We, the sons and daughters of Srila Prabhupad, may get chastised if we do not live up to the requirements.

Prabhupad would always tell us please chant your rounds and follow the regulative principles. So that is my humble request to all my disciples. Follow the four regulative principles sincerely.

Taking Initiation

“Taking of initiation is not only taking vows, doing personal practices, but also to dedicate and try to do the service to Lord Caitanya as much as possible. We are very fortunate that we have Prabhupada to serve and he was sent by Krishna to spread this message all over the world. So we are coming in the line of Prabhupada and previous acharyas and we want to try to do something so that Prabhupada will be proud of us.”
