The lotus shape Nabadvipa

Nabadvipa and Vrindavan, it’s like a lotus or like it’s like a spiritual lotus, Goloka Vrindavana. Go! So, Nabadvipa also has that lotus shape, and there is one central, the whorl and around that there are eight spiritual petals. So the central whorl is, representing the Bhakti process of Atmanivedanam, complete surrender, full surrender, self surrender. And the other eight processes of bhakti-yoga, devotional service are each one is like one petal of that lotus.

Eternal Home

“I want Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir to be the ashram that cares. We want to see to it that all our devotees, when they come back here, feel that this is their real home and that they are just temporarily working in some other places, but that this is their eternal home.”

How will we experience the Dham?

Guru maharaj: We should get the blessings of Vridhan Shiva and Praudha Maya, and then we can get the mercy of the dham. This way, first we hear, by hearing we get the mercy of the dham. Then Krishna’s leela will appear before our eyes. Gauranga!

What should be one’s mood while doing service during parikrama?

Jayapataka Swami: You see Lord Caitanya, He married Lakshmi Priya, she was Sridevi and then He married Vishnu Priya, she was Bhu devi. In holy dham she is Niladevi. So you are walking on Lakshmi, Niladevi. You should be very, very, very, very devotional and the dham is an expansion from the spiritual world. Like an embassy is representative of a country so, here the holy dham is an extension of the spiritual world. So with utmost respect and devotion for the holy dham, we are entering the dham, with a service attitude. We want to serve all the devotees who are coming to perform the Navadvip parikrama. Tomorrow morning, we have the adivas ceremony, where we go to the Yoga pith, and say a sankalpa of the parikrama, because it says we should start and end our parikrama in Antardwip. Since we have many groups like six or seven groups, I don’t know how many groups this year. Since everybody goes out in different places, and goes around the dham. So we start off at the Yoga pith and we end here in the field in maha milan, in Antardwip. That Antardwip, Pancha Tattva are in Antardwip, and Radha Madhava are in Rudradvip. Bhakti Vinod Thakur, he saw a kirtan party turn into a raasa lila, here in Rudradvip.

Vaishnava Aparadha

Whatever pious deeds we do in Vrndavan the benefit is 1000 times, but if we do any sinful deeds the result is 1000 times more. So Jagannath das babaji said that there is more heat in Vrndavan, high heat. Not temperature hot but heat of sinful deeds. If one commits offence there, then one gets 1000 times more sinful result.

But in Navadvip if one does service, they get 1000 times benefit, but much less result of offence. Even then one still has to stay clear of vaishnava aparadh, offence to the vaishnavas.

Sri Mayapur Mandala Parikrama

Here we have the birthplace of Lord Caitanya, you can see Sachi mata and Jagannath Mishra, carrying the baby Gauranga. Behind them is Vridha Shiva and He is the protector of the dham. Here the Durga devi is Praudh Maya, she is the protectress of the dham. And then we need their blessings to get into the esoteric vision of the holy dham.

Every step you walk in Navadvip, every breath you, every time you lay down to sleep, it is not ordinary. Every step is more than an Ashvamedha yagna. Your sleeping is like paying pranam before the deity. Every breath you take is like chanting Vedic hymns. So we hope you will take advantage and perform this parikrama. It is very, very purifying and enlightening yagna.
