*Living or dying, everything is perfect.*

one who has the complete shelter of Kṛṣṇa, his life is already a success. While he’s living he is under Kṛṣṇa’s shelter, and he’s in the ecstasy of the sankirtan movement, relishing the devotional service to Kṛṣṇa. And when he leaves this material body, then he goes back to Kṛṣṇa and serves Kṛṣṇa eternally. So, living or dying, everything is perfect.

There’s Nothing but Krsna

I remember one time, Śrīla Prabhupāda, when he was giving a lecture on Queen Kuṇtī, in Māyāpur, and he was talking on the verse niskincana gocara. Kṛṣṇa is only known by those who have nothing. And Śrīla Prabhupāda explained that how wonderful it is to have nothing. And he made a facial expression … How wonderful it is … to have nothing. And it was so expressive, it sounded very deep. Having nothing doesn’t mean of course in an external sense, but actually realizing that everything is Kṛṣṇa’s. That there is nothing but Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa’s energy and Kṛṣṇa. That everything is the property of Kṛṣṇa.

The Codes of Justice

Prabhupada quotes from manu samhita in the purport , he says a person he murders somebody and he is hanged up materially punished so he is liberated from that sinful activity , what about the karma spiritually because materially he was punished ,no it says here that”o patrha how can a person who knows that the soul is indestructible ,unborn ,eternal ,immutable can kill anyone and cause anyone to kill this is the verse explaining that the body is only killed but soul is indestructible so in the purport Prabhupada says that the violence has its utility how to apply violence rest with the person in the knowledge. although the justice of the peace of awards capital punishment if the person is condemn for murder ,the justice can’t be blamed because he orders violence to another person according to the codes of justice.

The Krishna conscious sight

Devotees are preaching to people to become detached from material ignorance they become angry with the devotees this is tamisra , why you are telling the people to become detached from material ignorance , ignorance is bliss ,they want everyone to remain in ignorance so in the beginning because of this type of ignorances, when the devotee used to preach people are sometime object , they objectbecause they don’t have the proper understanding because they are faithless so gradually by association by giving some knowledge by purification when they understand what is actual the Krishna conscious sight then the very same people they show oh I made a mistake “this is very good ”so this urges are thankless tasks.

Go back to Krishna consciousness*

*

I have a disciple in the South America. He was doing devotional service. He got an inheritance of 18 thousand dollars, which in South America is like a fortune. He left Krsna consciousness, he just broke every principle conceivable , and did so many sinful activities until all his money ran out . Then he came back to the temple completely burnt out, wanted to again get a position, you know… It’s a real sudra kind of mentality. You get a little bit and you forget everything. It’s like the person works all month to get a pay check, and the first thing they do is get drunk. It shouldn’t be like that.

*The Lower mentality*

We have, we get a little bit of opportunity for sense gratification, and whopee! we forget Krsna consciousness. And after the material situation is finished , then “O I am suffering again , let’s go back to Krsna consciousness .” That’s lack of character , lower than the sudra kind of mentality ; even the sudras don’t do that.

Keep Krishna in your conscious

The Infinitesimal Happiness

Without spiritual practice, without Krsna consciousness, life is very dry, very empty. By trying to please the senses and the mind, there is a very limited kind of happiness that one gets. It’s not that one does not feel happy ; certainly there is happiness in the material world. But that happiness is very infinitesimal, very limited. It’s not enough to satisfy us.

Add Absolute Truth in your life

The point that Prabhupada made : people are not happy, because there is imbalance . It’s not properly balanced . We can use all these things in Krsna’s service , if we have the higher objective. These are like so many zeros. We have to put the digit 1 before them. If we put number 1 before them, then all the zeros have meaning . Without number 1, without the Supreme Absolute Truth , everything is simply zero. In the end, it all gets perished.

The spiritual sacrifices

You will find that, for instance, people say, “Let me go out and do some independent business and I will give some donation to Krsna in the future. Just like they sacrifice their devotional service, sometimes they also sacrifice their spiritual practices–neglecting their japa chanting of hare Kṛṣṇa, or neglecting morning programs. And they think, “Well I’ll do this now and later on all will go.” But then they get out of habit, they become spiritually weakened and they become susceptible to maya. So there are no circumstances anything worth sacrificing our spiritual life.

*The single pointed mind*

It is explained in the bhagavat gita: eke ha kurunandana– if someone has single point in devotional service and loving devotion , he is totally satisfied, their mind is one-pointed, but for someone who has material desires bahu sakha hy anantas ca, the desires are multi-faceted.

Ask the appropriate things

People don’t know what is the actual thing to pray for. So they go and ask for some temporary thing . Just like the yogi who got the benediction of the touchstone from sanatana goswami but later he wanted to know the real valuable thing from Sanatana Goswami , and then Sanatana Goswami gave him the hare Krsna mahamantra . So when we go to someone who is powerful, we should ask something appropriate.

Total enjoyment brings total frustration

There’s no satisfaction in the material world. And the material world, if we try to enjoy unlimitedly, we get entangled in such a way we suffer every day. It’s the nature of the mode of passion. Passion looks enjoyable in the beginning and it brings suffering in the end. Goodness, there’s a little suffering in the beginning, but happiness in the end.

Better be in Krishna conscious

Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur did all his social duties also but his primary drive was toward spreading the Krishna consciousness movement. And he used his position in such a way that this God consciousness was promoted in society. So although he was a government officer, although he was a grihastha, he is considered as an acharya in the disciplic succession and he is one of the greatest acharyas. Grihe thaako, boney thaako, sadaa Hari boley daako. We should see beyond externals and whatever situation we are in we should try to use that particular situation to be Krishna conscious.

Give your child the best

In the childhood it is easy to cultivate this God consciousness in the minds of children. They are more simple and open so the natural spiritual quality can be brought out by giving them Krishna prasadam, by chanting. So you love your child, it is alright. Now because you love your child you give your child the best. Try to free the child from the repetition of birth and death to give your child the God consciousness in addition to the material things that you have to provide. That is the proper dovetailing.

Cultivate your consciousness

A person has to cultivate whether in the grihe in the ashram or in the boney forest, everyone has to cultivate this consciousness not to do anything, nothing, if it is not for Krishna. Even the most subtle thing if it is not actually for the pleasure of guru and Krishna, it is for our own personal pleasure, it is maya. Therefore we have to eradicate that.

Utilise everything for Krishna

I use all these material environments to please Krishna. In this way I can go back to Krishna, I can be fully Krishna conscious even within this external complicated situation if I learn to do everything for the pleasure of Krishna then I will be delivered.

The Actual Test

Bharata maharaj, he got a bigger instruction and in his next birth he had to take birth as a deer due to his over attachment, due to his extensive attachment. So life is very complicated and a person he can cultivate Krishna consciousness in any situation whether grihe thaako, boney thaako, sadaa Hari boley dhaako. Whether he is in the grihastha ashram or whether in the more renounced orders, the vaanaprastha, the sanyasi or the brahmachari, ashram, but the point is that one should actually cultivate doing everything for Krishna.

The Renounced order of life

Prabhupad said that if we remember everything is for Krishna then there is no chance of being victimized by material activities. But if somebody thinks I am very renounced but they get attached even to their underwear, they get attached to their deer, someone gives up the whole world and then if someone takes their shaak they get very angry and are ready to beat someone. This is the illusion of maya. If we have everything we care and somebody takes our cloth, this or that happens, we should be actually detached. Otherwise there is no use in imitating the so called renounced order.
