The Vedas say we are God and we are not God . We are God in the sense that we are part of God, we are quality of God, we are just a small atomic part of God. But we are at the same time different because we don’t have unlimited qualities. We can fall under illusion but Krishna Himself doesn’t fall under illusion, He is always transcendental. This is the basic difference. He is known as Acyuta , one of the names of Krishna is Acyuta, in Sanskrit it means one who can never fall.
